DXP2（デジタル・トランスフォーメーション・プラネット2）

金沢21世紀美術館で開催される美術展「DXP2（デジタル・トランスフォーメーション・プラネット2）」にHATRA＋Yuma Kishiとして出展します。
本展ではアーティストの岸裕真とともに制作した、文章生成AI - MaryGPTとChatGPT、人間の三者による対話システムと、これらの応酬から生まれるHATRAの作品群をあらたに『LOTUS ROOM』というインスタレーション形式で発表します。
We are pleased to announce our participation in the art exhibition "DXP2 (Digital Transformation Planet 2)" at the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, as HATRA+Yuma Kishi.Together with the artist Yuma Kishi, we have created a new series of HATRA's works that emerge from a dialogue system involving three parties: the text-generating AIs, MaryGPT and ChatGPT, and humans. These works will be presented in an installation format titled "LOTUS ROOM."
 
岸裕真とHATRAが共作した「LOTUS ROOM」は、文章生成AI - MaryGPTとChatGPT、そして人間の三者によるチャットルーム。入力したメッセージを元にAI同士の会話が始まり、あり得たかもしれないHATRAの架空のコレクションを類推・生成するインスタレーションです。

"LOTUS ROOM", co-created with Yuma Kishi and HATRA, is a chat room with three people: a sentence-generating AI - MaryGPT and ChatGPT, and a human. The installation is an analogy and generation of HATRA's fictional collections that could have been, starting a conversation between the AIs based on the messages they input.

岸裕真は、人工知能（AI）を用いてデータトリブンなデジタル作品や彫刻を制作する日本のアーティストです。岸は主に、西洋とアジアの美術史の規範からモチーフやシンボルを借用し、美学の歴史に対する我々の認識を歪めるような制作をしています。AI技術を駆使した岸の作品は、見る者の自己意識の一瞬のズレを呼び起こし、「今とここ」の間にあるリミナルな空間を作り出します。
 
Yuma Kishi is an Japanese contemporary artist using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create data-driven digital works and sculptures. Exhibited widely in Japan, his works have been featured by major brands such as Nike and publications such as Vogue. Borrowing motifs and symbols from the canons of both Western and Asian art history, his paintings distort our perceptions of the history of aesthetics. Using AI technology, his works evoke a sense of momentary dislocation in the viewer’s awareness of the self, creating a liminal space in between the here and now.
 　
　
"「DXP2（デジタル・トランスフォーメーション・プラネット2）」は、衣食住といった私たちの生活とデジタルテクノロジーの結びつきを模索する展覧会です。
2023年10月より開催していた「DXP（デジタル・トランスフォーメーション・プラネット） ―次のインターフェースへ」は、2024年3月までの開催を予定していましたが、1月1日に発生した能登半島地震で一部の展示室で天井のガラス板が剥落する損傷があり、展示の中止を余儀なくされました。 この状況に対し、私たちはデジタルの強みを生かした「DXP2」を、交流ゾーンを中心に展開します。美術館におけるキュレーションのレジリアンス（この困難な状況を乗り越えること）の提案の一つとして発信します。

"DXP2 (Digital Transformation Planet 2)" is an exhibition that explores the connection between our lives, such as food, clothing and shelter, and digital technology.
“DXP (Digital Transformation Planet): Towards the Next Interface,” which was on display since October 2023, was scheduled to run through March 2024, but the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1 caused some damage to the exhibition galleries, with some glass panels falling from the ceiling. As a result, the exhibition had to be canceled.
In response to this situation, we are developing “DXP2” by taking advantage of digital technology, mainly in the Public Zone. This is one of our proposals for curatorial resilience — that is, the capacity for overcoming this difficult situation — in museums.
